Shipping, Cancellation & Refund Policy

1. Introduction
This Shipping, Cancellation & Refund Policy explains how Vishwa Setu Publication we handles delivery of books and other products, as well as cancellations, returns and refunds.
This Policy applies to all orders placed directly with us through:

direct phone orders.
If you purchase our books from a bookstore, distributor or online marketplace, their shipping and refund policies may apply. In such cases, please contact the respective seller directly.
2. Shipping
2.1 Serviceable locations

We currently ship physical books within India using reputed courier / postal services.

For international orders, please contact us at vishwasetu.p@gmail.com or +91 77382 16219. We will confirm feasibility, charges and timelines on a case-by-case basis.
2.2 Order processing time

Orders are usually processed and dispatched within 2–4 working days after payment confirmation, unless otherwise communicated.

During peak seasons, holidays or unforeseen circumstances, dispatch time may be slightly longer. We will inform you if there is a significant delay.
2.3 Delivery timelines

Typical delivery time after dispatch is 3–10 working days depending on your location and the courier service.

Delivery timelines are indicative and may vary due to courier delays, local restrictions, strikes, natural events or other factors beyond our control.
2.4 Shipping charges

Shipping charges (if any) will be clearly communicated at the time of order confirmation / proforma invoice.

In some cases, we may offer free shipping above a certain order value or to specific locations. Such offers will be clearly mentioned wherever applicable.
2.5 Tracking your order

Wherever possible, we will share a courier tracking number / link once the order is dispatched.

If tracking is not available, you may contact us at vishwasetu.p@gmail.com with your order details for an update.
2.6 Undeliverable packages / incorrect address

If the courier returns the package to us due to incorrect / incomplete address, repeated delivery attempts failed, or consignee not available, we will inform you.

Reshipping the parcel may require additional shipping charges, which will be communicated to you before re-dispatch.
3. Order confirmation & payment

Orders are confirmed only after written confirmation (email / WhatsApp) and receipt of payment as per the proforma invoice / agreed terms.

We may accept payment via bank transfer / UPI / cheque / other modes.
-
We do not store your full card, UPI PIN or net-banking credentials; such details, if used through a payment gateway, are handled by the respective provider.
4. Order modification & cancellation
4.1 Before dispatch

You may request modification or cancellation of your order before it is dispatched.
-
Please email us as soon as possible at vishwasetu.p@gmail.com with your order number and the requested change.

If the order has not yet been dispatched, we will cancel or modify it and:
-
either adjust the invoice, or
-
provide a full refund of any amount paid.

4.2 After dispatch
-
Once the order has been dispatched, it cannot be cancelled simply due to change of mind, subject preference, or duplication of order from another supplier.

However, if you receive a damaged, defective or wrong item, please refer to Section 5 below.
5. Our “No General Returns” Policy
Because our books are educational resources that can be easily photocopied or reproduced, we follow a strict “No General Returns” policy:

We do not accept returns or offer refunds for correctly supplied, undamaged books simply due to:

change of mind,
-
syllabus change at your school,
-
student leaving the course, or
-
ordering the wrong level by mistake.

Please check the book title, grade and quantity carefully before placing your order.
However, as required under Indian consumer protection laws, we do accept returns / refunds in specific cases of genuine error or defect, as detailed in Section 6. NCDRC+2IndiaLaw LLP+2
6. Returns & refunds in case of damage / defect / wrong item
We will repair (where applicable), replace, or refund in the following situations:

Physically damaged in transit

Pages torn, binding broken, water damage, severely crushed cover etc.

Printing defect
-
Missing pages, repeated pages, major printing errors making the book unusable.

Wrong product supplied
-
For example, you ordered Pragyan Grade 8 but received Pragyan Grade 7.

Short supply
-
Quantity delivered is less than the quantity invoiced and paid for.

6.1 Time limit for reporting issues

Please check your shipment as soon as it is received.

Any of the above issues must be reported within 3 working days of delivery, by emailing us at vishwasetu.p@gmail.com with:

Order number / invoice,
-
Clear photographs of the problem (damaged / defective / wrong book / short quantity), and
-
A brief description of the issue.

6.2 Resolution process
After reviewing your email and photographs, we will:
-
Confirm whether the issue qualifies for replacement / refund, and
-
Inform you about the next steps (return pickup, courier instructions, or disposal of damaged copy, depending on feasibility).
Where a return of the defective/wrong item is required:
-
We will either arrange a pickup or ask you to ship the book back to a given address.
-
In genuine cases of damage/defect/wrong item, we will bear or reimburse the reasonable return shipping cost.
6.3 Replacement or refund
-
Our first preference is usually to replace the defective or wrong book with a correct copy.
-
If replacement is not possible (e.g., stock not available within a reasonable time), we will offer a refund of the book’s price or an adjustment as credit against your next order, as mutually agreed.
7. Refund timelines & method
-
Once a refund is approved, we will aim to process it within 7–14 working days.
-
Refunds will normally be made by the same method used for payment (e.g., bank transfer to the same account, UPI to same ID), unless otherwise agreed.
-
Actual time for the amount to reflect in your account may depend on your bank / payment provider.
8. Digital access – audio tracks & teacher resources
Our Website provides:

Non-downloadable listening tracks and
-
Password-protected teacher resources (e.g., answer keys, worksheets, additional material).
For these digital services:
-
Once access has been granted (e.g., login created, password shared, access code sent, or link provided), we do not offer refunds merely because you no longer wish to use the resources or have changed your school / course.

If you are unable to access the materials due to a technical problem from our side, please contact us within 7 days of purchase/access, and we will:

attempt to resolve the issue, and
-
if the service cannot be provided, offer an appropriate refund or credit.
